Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac was appointed the new manager of Monaco. After just seven months in charge of the Ligue 1 club on Sunday Robert Moreno was sacked.
Kovac, 48, won the 2018-19 season in the German league and double in the cup with Bayern but left in November 2019.
Kovac also worked as the governor of Croatia between 2013 and 2015.
“Niko is known for his ability to produce very good results and the development of young talents,” Monaco Vice-President Oleg Petrov said on Sunday.
Moreno took over last December when Monaco was seventh at the table, finishing ninth at the end of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic early
