‘ Silent Prejudice, ‘a television series on the Osu caste system in southeastern Nigeria, will be screening tonight on the African Independent Television (AIT).
Dino Melaye, a former senator representing Kogi west, who also features in the 13-episode project, announced in a post on Wednesday that the movie will be aired by 9 pm on the TV station.
“I will be on a series ‘Silent Prejudice’ showing on AIT by 9pm. Please watch. God bless you. SDM,”
he wrote on Twitter.
The 13-episode project features many influential politicians including former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, who’s making his acting debut.
‘Silent Prejudice,’ produced by Chris Oge Kalu, also features several film stars including Clem Ohameze, Amaechi Muonago, Monalisa Chinda, Chuks Chyke, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Steve Eboh and Ofiafuluagu Mbaka.
Other film casts include Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Larry Koldsweat, Obi Idejimba and T.T. Temple. Temple.
Fani-Kayode, who starred alongside his wife Precious on the movie, had reflected on his foray into the film landscape in March, noting it has helped him understand what filmmakers are going through better.
“Many don’t know the hard work of the actors and the energy and discipline that goes into their craft,” he said.
“It’s no mean feat to be a Thespian. It needs absolute commitment and concentration and my admiration for them is boundless, having been through what I witnessed Saturday.
“Season 1 is will be broadcast on AIT on Wednesdays at 9.00pm, and Season 2 will soon be broadcast in which I appear”
