As of 4 pm, October 20, 2020, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has placed a 24-hour curfew on all areas of Lagos State to get the anarchy unleashed on the state by hoodlums under the guise of # EndSARS protest under control.
On his Twitter account @jidesanwoolu, Sanwo-Olu said that no one should be found on the streets except critical service providers and first responders.
“I have watched with shock how what began as a peaceful #EndSARS protest has degenerated into a monster that is threatening the well-being of our society.
“Lives and limbs have been lost as criminals and miscreants are now hiding under the umbrella of these protests to unleash mayhem on our State,”
“As a government that is alive to its responsibility and has shown a commitment to the movement #ENDSARS, we will not watch and allow anarchy in our dear state,” he said.
Nigerians are now confused
Curfew in Lagos state is a plot to silence us,what do we do next ? #EndSARS

The youths you kill on the streets are all innocent until proven guilty. So stopping us from protesting or fighting for our rights, also confirms you a liar until you are proven honest. #5for5 #EndPoliceBrutality
